NHS food drive – A lockdown story

Keith and his family have been lending a hand to Old Wimbledonians “Doing A Bit” campaign. Established to help during the Covid crisis, volunteers have been preparing and delivering ready meals to NHS workers, the vulnerable and community carers. The Dons made over 400 meals a week throughout lockdown and delivered to NHS frontline staff at 7 local hospitals as well as local foodbanks. In April, Keith and family did their bit by helping to make 25,000 muffins which were distributed to key workers including paramedics, the police, fire service, waste and recycling collectors and postal workers – as well as NHS staff and the homeless.
